What I want to do in this blog is to encourage myself along with encouraging anyone who wants to read.
Before I get into the encouraging part of the blog today, let me update you on our lives...Our boys are now 16 and 17 and both work; growing up too fast! My husband is an assistant Pastor after being a Sr. Pastor for 15 years. I currently am working part time at a daycare and have begun taking college courses. I am not sure if I want to do elementary education or counseling. I am still praying about which field of study to pursue, so I am taking courses that both would need.
Now to hopefully be an encouragment to you....
You ever find yourself in a rut and life getting you down and discontented? Maybe money is low, your kids are growing up too fast or any number of things. I go through fazes of that and I hate it. I know it is the devils tool in my life. He wants to keep us discouraged or discontented because when we are then we are less likely to do anything for the Lord. It is then all up to us on whether we allow that discontentment to grow. It's not a fun place to be and you can't have JOY while your in it. So my encouragement to start this blog is found in Phil 4:8,9,11 and especially verse 11 "Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content" If you are finding yourself in a discouraged, discontented state, meditate on this verse Psalms 51:12 "Restore unto me the JOY of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit"
